would they sell it to anyone or someone who knew what they were doing?? i want to get rid of my oscar and my 7 cons that are in my 125g, but i dont want them to go into some 25g fish tank tho'... do you guys have any ideas?? my oscar is about 6.5-8 inches long... and my cons are normal sized...

same problem i have with my 55g except i got pacus and even the LFS dont want em. neither do the local public aquariums. :(
but u could always buy a bigger tank, LOL if u got $$$$.
the cons they may not take or may not buy if the are close to 5-6" the oscar may be the same and if they do take them they may never sell them since there is not a huge demand for large oscars since tons of people have them. same goes with cons. maybe if u had some rare fish they would take them, must fish sold back the LFS die.

Yeah thats true for the most part. I know before I knew about min tank sizes and water changes I use to buy the big one and put them in 20-30gal because it made them bigger. Thats the problem alot of people arent educated when it comes to caring for fish. I traded a 10" oscar it looked nice that one they took it in but I got nothing in return it was sold within the same day. I did the same with a buttikoferi and it sold quick it was gone in a week I got to free oscars for him though. But unless they are like very nice looking oscars people will just go for the small ones. There one pet shop in anahiem called Strictly fish they only deal with fish and reptiles and taratulas oh and scorpions. They got one small wall and the rest of the store is nothing but fish. They got a Oscar around 12-14" and nobody buys it luckly they have it in a huge tank its like a 180gal+.

yea sometimes they can seel em but at the LFS by me they always have different oscars dying in their tanks cause there are jsut so many of them that get too big and people dont want them anymore. if i get a job there i wouldnt accept any evern 4 free.
The one I gave them looked like show qaulity my mom got pissed when I got rid of it I bought it and she got mad when I gave it away but yeah that one sold quick for them it didnt die from being beat up it was gone in a day and it was picking on there fish they had in the tank. My mom hates Oscars but aparently like that one because it looked so nice.
