I have the ardous task of removing bubble algae from ALL of my liverock, I have been unsuccesful with any and all (that I know of) other ways of removal...whew...
My question is: Does anyone have a safe/efficent/easy(ier) way to do this?

I am sure I am NOT the only person who has lost the battle on bubble algae and has been reduced to picking it off manually. I am just wondering if anyone has a particular 'method' that works well. I am concerned about stressing everyone out, keeping the rock out of water too long, killing anything in or on it (except the gigantic bristle worm I have lurking in there!!!). I have shrooms and Xenia attached to some peices of the lr and don't know how long if any they can stay out of the water...please help.....heres a pic of one of the worst rocks....

Wow that's rough looking. Did the emerald crabs not work? I started noticing some bubble algae forming in my 90g so I introduced 4 emerald crabs (I see you have some as well). I don't' think they will eat bubbles that large, so you may just have to pick them off. But at least in my experience, the crabs eat the newly formed bubbles.

Yeah when I have had to remove larger ones I just used a flat head screwdriver that had a somewhat dull edge. The bubbles are pretty strong, but if you dig from where they are attached they just pop right out.
