All parameters are steady nitrite is 0 phh and nitrate is 0 phh and ammonia is 0 phh and p.h is 8.4 and phosphate is 0.5 and all my live rock is already in about 10 killos of live rock and all the sand protien skimmer and filters heaters and lots of bacteria is in the tank good bacteria.

if your not sure, buy a cheap fish and put him in, if he survives a week you can slowly start adding more fish.

What size is the tank? Depending on the tank size, I wouldn't mix different types of clowns. Regardless, I wouldn't add everything at the same time, either. Once you're sure the tank has cycled, I'd add some hermits and snails first, then add the two clowns 2 - 3 weeks later.

An anemone is best added to an established tank that been running for a minimum of 6 months, although some will suggest not adding one (if at all) until the tank has been running for a year. Do you have adequate lighting to support an anemone?

i wouldnt combine different clownfish they fight usually but you may be lucky. if it was me id wait longer because it takes awhile for saltwater aquariums to even out but if you really watch the water and do a water change within a week of adding the fish they should be alright to add. oh and what kinda of crab?

if you add a cheep fish make sure you wana keep it...in a tank with rock its hard to catch the fish if you wana remove it and moving the rocks will make your cycle start over in most cases.

umm my tank is only 90 litres and i wont mix clowns and also i have already got a hermit crab in there and he has lasted fine for the week i have had him.

I wouldn't mix the clowns either. How do you know there's "good bacteria" in your tank already? You might want to wait until your tank is more established for your anemone as well.

my tank has good bacteria because i added cycle to it and live sand and live rock and a hermit crab for 1 week and parameters are exellent

the bacteria they sell in cultures is very benificial....but as a retailer myself i know they dont work like the bottels say....saltwater requires time and research if you want to succeed. ive read documentation on tanks that had only a sand bed and live rock with airstones as the only source of flow. these tanks were compleatly stocked with inverts and fish and did better than most hight tec systems...its all about how much your willing to invest in regards to time and money.

i have to disagree, moving the rocks wont make your cycle start over, removing them from the tank for an extended period may make the cycle start over but not moving them around. its easy to catch a fish anyways, just put some food at the top and keep your and with the net on the botome and when he comes up for the food, net him from below.

as in start over i mean the biological stability will be disrupted(should have used better wording).....but it not like im a zoology/aquatic biology major or anything...... it wont make it start over but can stir up dirt that will cause high fluctuations. ive seen it many times working in the trade.

id hold for at least 2 months of perfect water before adding a anenome.....but thats only if you keep on top of things and have the proper lighting. as for the clowns give it a try and id recommend changing the water soon after.

well test the water after you add them the next few days if it goes up at all do a small water change then every week after that.

ok so test everyday for this week and then add 2 clowns and then do water change every 2 weeks.

yea i say if all checks out by Friday add the clowns and the watch it like a hawk. then do a water change every week for a month and then after that month reduce it to every 2 weeks....a system does best with weekly water changes.. many aquarists and biologists agree..i change weekly always and thus my water is sparkling and my fish always happy and ready to eat.

Uhmm... you didn't mention anything about lighting. Just FYI, Almost all clowns nowadays are either tank bred or tank raised... and have absolutely no idea what an anemone is for and becuase of that, odds are they won't use one. And how do you even know your tank is cycled? Did you see an ammonia/nitrite spike?

I would just like to add that you need to SLOW DOWN a bit. Do not be too anxious to add to the salt tank too quickly. There is a saying in the salt world and that is anything worth having in saltwater is done very slowly. If you rush it you are setting yourself up and your tank for a devastating crash meaning that everything in the tank will die or be dieing. If I were you I would let the tank run with some live rock for three to four weeks. After that you can test your water and see where your water peremeters are. If everything is sitting at 0 and your SG is between 1.022-1.027(this mimics seawater from the ocean) then you can add some inverts such as turbo snails or other snails and some hermit crabs perhaps. Then let it go another three to four weeks with just them and see how they do. While this is happening I would advise doing some small water changes once a week to keep the water quality where it should be. If all goes well with the the live rock and the inverts, then you can go ahead and add a pair of clownfish. I would not mix different kinds of clowns since they will most likely fight and one or two of them will end up dead. After you add the clowns, keep watching your water quality and water paremeters and do weekly water changes for another month at least before you add any other fish. Please be patient. I know it is hard but in the end you will be much happier and so will your salt tank.

I wish you the best of luck with it.

almost all tomato, maroon, sabe, black, and true percula clowns will go into anenomes. only the false or oscellaris clowns wont. and yes what is your lighting you havent answered that yet. and like i said before and will once again agree with the others slow is best for saltwater. bubble tip or bulbe anemones are perfect for all clowns except the sabe which only sits in a sebe anenome.
