HOw do you get rid of high nutrient levels because my one coral has turned brownish. I don't have a reading of phosphate and all other levels are good.
 
feed less, skim and water change more.
with some sytems it is just a given until it becomes more established or you take some livestock out.
 
As fishieness has said you need to stop feeding your tank so much. Start doing atleast weekly water changes of 10% of your water and if your using Tap water STOP.
 
using phosban and carbon will also help
as well as having adequate biological filtration
 
i do use ro water and i just did buy a filter which i have carbon in it so i think things should be better soon enough. THanks for all your replys
 
There's actually a test that tests dissolved organics.

IMO, get a good protein skimmer and start on those small water changes the other members mentioned.
