I just picked up a used planted 35 gallon tank. It has a couple inches of gravel in it and several different plants. At least a couple swords and I'm not sure what you call the others. There are some small bushy plants in there. This is my first planted tank.
I'm wondering how do you get the plants rerooted and to stay in the gravel. The swords are about the only one's that stayed rooted.
Also when you clean how do you get the gravel clean. Just stir it a little and let the hob filter clean it?
Also is a co2 system really needed. The tank didn't come with one.
