Lace ROck-How long to Boil or can i simply rinse it off?

I have some lace rock I wil decorate my tank with. It has been soaking in cold water outside for about 3 weeks. Have changed the water sveral times. Does it need to be boiled??

no. rinse off any sediment and it'll be fine.
 
if the water you are changing is showing adverse chemistry from the water you are putting in it then maybe. but everything should be fine. go ahead and add.
