Hello,
I'm from Ontario Canada and I never really intended to have fish. We have always had 2 cats and we've had a "no fish" policy in place because they gross me out when they die. It all came about when my daughter felt sorry for a fish in Walmart that arrived in their stock unordered and they didn't know what to do with it. My daughter heard them say they should just flush it so she asked them how much to buy it and they sold it to her for 97 cents. She ended up keeping it in her locker for 3 days in a 4 inch by 4 inch container. Finally she told me about it and I said.."bring that poor thing home!!" Well, to make a long story short, it ended up to be a blood fin tetra that lived for about 6 months in the 5 gal aquarium I bought. Since then I've become very fond of our aquatic pets and have expanded our family a little. We now keep a 21 gallon and I often entertain the idea of going a little bigger. : ) I've learned alot from everyone here, and I'm still learning of course! I absolutely adore my cory catfish! ET
