Having caught MTS, I am thinking of adding an iron stand next to my current48" x 18" 75g, which is on a black solid pine stand, so I need no more cabinet space.

I have room to fit a 36" x 18" stand, and am thinking about putting three 10g on the bottom rack for QT and breeding purposes, longitudinally (i.e. sideways). My 10g QT is currently sitting on the floor.

Maybe light all three with a single 36" fluorescent hood.

I have seen them in the past but have not been able to find for sale glass tops for sideways mounted 10g tanks. I think breeders use them.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What about getting a few pieces of glass cut and using a hinge to make your own? That way you could fit them around any filters/heaters you have in the tanks. Here's an example of the hinge I'm thinking of:

You could silicone on handles to lift the outer panels with.

These hinges work great. Make sure you get one for the appropriate thickness (1/8" versus 3/16").
