Well...lesson learned... dont add anemone to your tanks...you'll have problems. I ran massive amount of carbon (12;bs worth) in 200G and my brain coral is dieing, my fungai has died and somthing help if my elephant ear dies... word to the wise...stay away from anemone.

Also, be carefull whilst painting cats! I have just begun researching marine aquariums. What do you think happened?

unless it was a larage anem that died and you didnt remove it beore it melted, then i highly ghighly doubt that yoru dieing corals are a result of an anem.

ok why are these forums so anti anemone? everyone acts like they are made of glass. they can be kept in a jar with an air stone in a window sill if you feed them every other day. they are super hardy compared to most other cnaridians and they only cause havoc if they are to big for the tank or if they die and rot or are the last coral put in because they will crawl around and sting things until they find there happy spot.

it was a GIANT P.Helios Carpet that was pissy, and it was too much for the tank. it stung my corals. there's nothing else it could be.

it was pissed. shot off it's poision in the tank, carbon couldnt keep up..

when anemone are introduced they sometimes set off their stinhing cells. hence it's poision.

carpets are large, and they do have some chemical warefare, but i honestly do highly doubt adding a carpet to a 200 gallon, unless it died and rotted did anything.
