Hello guys, (sorry if this posted twice my web page crashed so I am trying this again)

Remember me I am the newbie a few months back. I am posting my two tanks, both daytime and nighttime pics. BTW I am using bare bottom tanks due to the problems I had with parasites when I first started last year and I gave up the substrate for clean water quality.

Hopefully the bare bottom will be OK I know some of you might not like it.

Also I am thinking of replacing the submersible Marina LED lights with a submersible light wand. It looks like a bubble wand but it is actually a blacklight.

My last pic is of me in the water capturing my fish in the wild:thm: I don't use LFS I acquire my fish the hard way!

That rule is bunk. Nice tanks, though!

hummm...love the plants in the baby pots....will that work with gravel substrate?

I know the 1 inch per gallon rule is bunk but as a newbie I decided to follow it. Any other suggestions in stocking? As far as I know that seems it, unless I put in a guppy or two.

Also you know those black potted plants you buy at the major Fish Stores? Well that tiny terracotta pot fits that size perfectly snug. I think I got it at an arts and craft store.

T o each his own, I am not in love with the lights though...:(

I love your tank and the pots!! and its your tank, not everyone has to love it, as long as you like it thats all that matters! :) and I like the lights my self. I plan on getting the pretty green and blue ones :)

I think everyone should have at least one "wild" tank with goofy decorations...I'm going to set up old fashion cheezy tanks in all my metal frames, like when I was a kid....and the "diving" pic is great!

No problem! I enjoy the criticism, I like the lights but I hate looking at the physical lights in the day which is why I was thinking of going with the Light Wand.

The daytime pic reminds of my elementary school stage, you know how you can see the light fixtures on the ceiling. Memories... LOL

Also whomever was interested the marina green light it will look really GREAT in a well planted tank. I tested them out before, I didn't opt for green since I don't have too many plants. You MUST post that pic when you get it up I definitely want to see.
