tiger lotus Troubles

Just last week i added to Large tiger lotus and i noticed yesterday that the leaves have turned green, and are starting to disapear. its like they are geting burnt

i have never had this problem with any other plants so i am kinda stumped.
is it a sign of too much iron in the water?

hopefully someone can help ya there. I have never had melting of a lotus Do you suppliment with a fert?
