Are Tetratech pf500 filters worth salvaging?

I recently bought a used 125 gallon tank and stand for $150. I got 3 pf500 filters in the deal. The inlet tube is cracked on two of them, but probably can be glued back together. There seems to be a cap that is missing on all three. It should go on top of the inlet tube. These things take 4 filter pads a piece. So I'm wondering if I should scrap them and bite the bullet for new filters.

you could try and see how well you like them. i like to get new filters but if your low on cash they might work for the time being.
