Hi. My tank finished its cycle today, well actually three days ago, but I kept dosing it for 2 more days just to be sure. I just did a big 75% water change and I'll be going to pick out some fish tomorrow. I just wanted to say thanks very much to everyone who replied to my questions, and also to all the other members on these forums. There's such a wealth of knowledge on this site...THANKS!!

My tanks readings as it stands now:
NH3= 0
NO2= 0
NO3= 5
pH = 7.0
GH = 80
KH = 20

Well, here's what I came home with:
Swimmers:
2 honey gouramis
6 black phantom tetras
3 panda corydoras

Plants:
~12 stems of cabomba, 8" tall
9 amazon swords, 8"
2 java ferns, 3" or so
1 anubias nana, 4" long

Everyone is really happy and acting normal, nobody's being bothersome. The corys are even swimming against the filter current!
:p. I wanted to get a clown pleco as well, but they didn't have any, and I was advised against it anyways because it would have eaten all my plants. (?). But when I got home and had everything all set up, I realized there is no room for a 5" fish in there anyways. Sometimes things happen for a reason, eh? However, I was advised to get a few otos when they come in on tues/wed this week, and I think I will. Although I'm a little sketched about adding more fish now; I've read that with a fishless cycle the entire bioload should be added all at once. But, I figure the otos are pretty little and it's only a day between...

Tanks again for eveybody's help. My fish are happy and my tank is exactly what I've been daydreaming about for the past 2 months!! (2 MONTHS:eek: !!)

Congrats! Sounds like a nice tank.

Cories can be very playful. I had a bubble wall set up in a tank for a while, and the cories would ride the bubble to the surface, swim back to the bottom and ride up again, for hours at a time. It was very entertaining.

Have fun!

Jim
