how large is your kenyi, and how long have you had it? a friend of mine bought one from a tank of small mixed malawi species at a petsmart in princeton, and it has been growing at an incredible rate. it seems to have almost doubled it's size in just over a month or two...outpacing the other cichlids he has by far.

i have had him for maybe 4 months and he has only doubled in size. he was really small when i got him, maybe he tripled actually, would you like for me to hold a pencil up to him so you can get an idea of how big he is???

a very cool fish...i was a bit surprised, having never kept cichlids myself...that they grew this fast, but my friend's fish is doing quite well. i'll have to look into getting a cichlid tank going, too!
