I have been told to go to AH supply for the lights. My question is when i went to see what they had for the lights i noticed they have their own special bulbs. Is this true?

Also it is way to expensive for me!
Is their another way i could upgrade, i don't want shop lights.
By the way this is embrasing my light fixture doesn't have a reflecter.
All it is, is this white plastic that is polished it this condsidered a reflecter?
Also is there any point in using ferts if my lighting is way to low?

buy the fixtures and go to another place to get bulbs. they are over priced on bulbs.

yes it is. white reflects the light

i dont think so. next step is co2 then ferts.

Those are not "special bulbs" they are just CF straight pin bulbs in the correct k values for their application. And IMHO the bulbs are not that over priced. If you buy some where else and pay the additional shipping you come out about even. And yes I know there are some very cheap Chinese bulbs available on eBay. It's a case of you get what you pay for.

Good lighting costs money. But it's money you only have to spend once. You really can't polish plastic. White plastic is one step above no reflector at all.
