I'm a newbie. Got two gold angels 2 weeks ago. As I walked by the tank just now I notice one was "fat", stopped for a closer look & saw eggs on leaf of a silk plant. But I'm not ready to be a grandmother! LOL No other tank, etc. Wow, mother nature is amazing!

And we have a lucky one! Please post some pics!

Update

The angels defended the eggs for about 6 hours and then ate them. LOL What a hoot! So, if eventually I want to try to raise fry, I need to get the infamous gallon pickle jar (or some such and set up a bare-bottom 20 gal tank and learn how to hatch brine shrimp and :read: and beg for :help: and... and... oh, my!

you don't need to have a 20 to raise fry but you do need to have enough space for grow out..I raise the fry(angels) in a 10 then as they start to mature..move them to a 20.
I may have my wife convinced I need a 50-75 gallon tank to move wild angels to I'l use their old tank to growout fry or keep breeding pairs.

Spawn #2

Well, they did it again this evening! Picked a leaf way in the back of the tank. Defending like crazy. I've left the lights on. Wish them luck!

Congrats!

I had eggs appear on Friday on the filter intake, moved to a 10 gallon tank. Eggs are now moving (is this what is known as "wigglers"?)
