Can anyone tell me what is the best way to change the gravel. Will I have to remove all the fish?:)

Large water change and clean it out before the refill. Works for me.

i would invest in a tank only dustpan with a rubber strip. works WONDERS for scooping gravel, especially for getting in the corners.

remove all of the fish, decor, and plants and then turn off the filter and heater. take out at least half of the water, it will make the transition much easier.

make sure you rinse the new gravel very well so there is less gunk in the water and little bits of gravel that can damage the filter.

I plan on changing out mine pretty soon, too. My plan is to exchange about a pound or two at a time every time I do a 25-50% water change. I have no extra tank to put the fish in so that is my only option.
