Moving my african cichlids to a bigger tank. How long for it to cycle.

I am moving them from a 35 gal hex to a 50 gal tank. What is the best way to quiock cycle the tank if possible?

Take some Gravel Decor, or Filter media from the Old Tank and transfer it to the new tank, I add water from the other tank to this will Cycle almost immediatly...

agreed - if you reuse the filter media and the gravel you are set from day one.

Thanks for the answers. One more question. Do I have to move all the gravel if I move the rocks and caves?

if you move the filter and decor you should not ahve to move the gravel. most of the biological bacteria live in the filter and other areas where there is high oxygen content. the top layer of the gravel will have some, and it will be enough to grow quickly when you re-stock your 35 :D
