Cupcake is the shy one hehee and Trixie well she thinks she is a monkey .. she will walk across the top of the case dangling - its so funny to watch her. We are planning on getting one of those Critter Trails that you can add all those tubes n stuff to do they can go all over ... I think they will enjoy that alot more than this my first home cage lol I can't believe they actually have a lil hamster potties for them and all kinds of lil furniture... This is the first time we have ever had a hamster lol its very entertaining to watch them :)

Got a gerbil who livers in one of those critter things with the tubes and all; she loves it!

If you do get one, make sure the tubes are secure, mine got loose once, the gerbil was loose for 3 days!

Finally caught her as she was siting in front of the tank watching the fishies!

Cute hamsters. I had hamsters when I was about 6. I still have a scar from where one bit me when I broke up their fight. I think rats make much better pets then the hamsters. They so loving and cuddle up to you. My rat will lift up his hands to be held. When I was in the pet store some woman thought my rat was the cutest hamster ever, then she found out it was a rat.

cute, but I prefer rats over anything else.

are they in the same cage? how old are they? hamsters are loners and will fight if crowded.they can be kept together when young, but should be kept alone as adults. if the cage is pretty large, like 2 feet long, then they may be able to get along.

Yes they are in the same cage - not sure how old they are .. so far they enjoy each others company and haven't faught at all. As I stated before I will be getting them a much larger living space in which I am sure they will greatly enjoy!

Make sure you buy one of those brushes to clean out the tubes. My hamster loved to make a bathroom out of the one sideways tube...something about the plastic it's made out of and hamster "pellets"...the combination was stinky gross. The bottle brush kept me from having to dig it out with paper towels.
