Was reading an article in a magazine and just thought i would post the picture's for people to what its actually like in the ocean with regards to water parameters...
That's really interesting Niko ... any idea where the tests were done? I would imagine the params taken at different places would differ a fair bit ... also, at what depths/how far out form the coasts were these tests done? I'd be curious to see how the water params checked out at say the Great Barrier Reef, compared with parts of the ocean that have completely different types of marine life.
Most of the levels of the critical elements shown in the table, like NaCl, Ca, Mg are pretty much what we as reefers try to maintain ... so I guess we're on the right track?
yup i live by those stats its what i learned when i opened my first aquarium book and was reminded of in high school marine bio and have lived by since lol.
