Feeding Eel

How often and what should a peacock eel eat? He was just purchased last weekend and is only about 3-4 inches long. We know they don't really eat flake food so we went and got frozen blood worm cubes and gave him one last night. All the other fish were eating it as well. How often should he be given a cube and how many? What other things should be part of his diet? Live worms are out, it's either frozen/flake or freeze dried. Will this cause any issues with the other fish? Like is it too rich for them to handle or will they do ok with it? I'd appreciate any info, I have done a lost of searches online for info but it's so much better to hear from people that have had eels before. Thanks.

I have a peacock eel and I feed him about every 2 or 3 days. I feed him nightcrawlers cut up in bite-sized peices.
Hope this helps:p:

I can't get mine to eat anything but live food.

I have two, the only thing they seem to enjoy is live bloodworms. I've tried several different frozen foods, as well as shrimp pellets, FD bloodworms, and tubifex, and they're curious about it but won't eat it. I had to treat one of my two for intestinal parasites when I got him too, he got really thin and lethargic.
