This my newly scaped tank. I was waiting for some white Geo-system sand I had ordered, but it turns out I have no patience. So I went to the river and dug up some Rock, stone and gravel. I rinsed it, scrubbed it, then boiled it, and scrubbed and boiled again. Lots of work, but enjoyable?
I do need more rock on the back wall, and that will happen on water change day. So here are some pixs of old and new.
This is only a temporary tank til we move.

All feedback appreciated.

Wow- that looks really nice and it's cool you were able to hand-pick the rocks yourself. Great job!

Very nice!

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the comments. Any suggestions would be helpful, as I am fairly new to Cichlids.

I know that plants are not required, but, If I were to put 1 plant in, what would be the best?

As for the Flowerhorn my LFS will not take him back! What to do

it's far more natural, but I've got one suggestion.

Malawi fish(and I see a couple of them) like to dig, and they will try, I see you've got stones on the bothom, and so they can't dig. I suggest to take sand, because they can hurt themself on the stones.
