Hi everyone. I'm not sure if my substrate is okay for my tank. It is dark blue gravel. None of the pieces are more than 2.5 mm in circumfrence. My plants are most definatly growing, but I would like to be sure that it will be okay.

Also, I am hoping to get dwarf hairgrass in the near future. Will that grow fine in my substrate?

Thanks in advance.

Your gravel is fine for most plants. You may have a problem with Dwarf Hairgrass though. I didn't have enough light when I tried it in regular gravel, but it seems to me that it would like a nutrient rich, smallish substrate. If you have enough light for it, it wouldn't hurt to try it though. :)

i would recommend seachem flourite, but if you can go with ADA AS i'll go for it
