for all you asm (g2) skimmer vets

I have just had mine up and running for about two days now and my skimmer is producing extremely watery skimmate so much so it has filled my G-2 cup about 10 times today. My riser cup is all the way down so the bubble level should be at its lowest, correct? I'm not going to work myself up in a tizzy, cause i know its only been going on three days now.

I'm guessing its probably breaking in still but i wanted to know from "the experienced" if i am doing something wrong.

well check that - i found out that i had the sponge extended past the riser tube and that was slowing the flow; essentially making the skimmer act like the riser tube was raised much higher.

wow i feel like a fool
