In one of the media basket I have put ceramic rings and Bio chem stars. Everytime I open the canister for maintainance and remove the baskets the rings and the stars start floating. Is there a better way to remove the baskets?

i've absolutely NEVER heard of this ... they're "ceramic" and do not float. you may have a bad batch of them with much entrained air? dunno but it's very strange.

once you take the top off drain the water before you pull off the top lid
