My tank is still in the works, but slowly coming along. I would love any advice on the setup. I was thinking of getting a black background for the tank to hid the dark equipment. I will also be adding a couple more pounds of liverock later when I find some nice pieces.

Thanks you :)

lol they placed a "dead fish" in your bag? I am glad you lucked out :) Maybe he hated his tank conditions and was much happier with you. If so, you should feel proud ^^

Thanks. Can you believe this little guy was being sold as a poor boring cycle tank fish? He was stuck with 10 others in a 15G. I had finished my cycle before I got him and was looking for a hardy fish to try since this is my first SW tank experience.

looking good!

Thanks, I also saw some pics of your fish :) They are great.

looks like your off to a good start.

Thanks :) I hope so. Many years ago I had a terrible start when I jumped into FW (I was very young) so I wanted to transition into SW more smoothly.

And any suggestions so far? Does the black background sound like a good idea? I also really want my live rock to come alive. I am not sure if I am going to add any more small creatures. I might try soft corals once I get the correct lighting, but for now I am just seeing if I can handle the basics.

Looking good!

I agree, a blackground should make things pop!
