The first few weeks with my plants showed little growth. Below is a before and after of my tank with 3 weeks elapsed. No plants were added in this time.

what did you do to get that much growth?

How big is your tank? Watts per gallon? Adding ferts? Co2 adding?

I would like to know becuase I just started my first planted tank and thought is was pretty cool how much growth you have gotten. Nice tank

Here's so pics of my tank for you to see....I really want an overgrown look to it....but thats going to take a little while...

Good job txaggies! Ya kicked bootie! Both you and batman have beautiful tanks!

The tank is 46 gallons. I currently have about 2.74 WPG. I add Leaf Zone about every week. I am trying to get my CO2 working. I have raised the CO2 level a little. However, there is a leak in the system so I can only inject the CO2 when I am messing with it.

I like your setup batman. What is that tall sword on the right? I like the plant a lot.

I am going to try to add some sort of ground cover soon. I have java moss on the right, but I dont think it will work as a ground cover for me.

thts some nice growth there, im waitin on someone with the time and patients to set up a time laspe on their tank, tht would be awsome. also is tht just reg sand below the gravel?

p.s. always nice to see another texen on the board, but hook em horn:dance:

Very nice!

It is actually aragonite. The bottom layer is sand and the top layer is more rocky. Then there is the blue layer. I had a discussion about it awhile back with the whole story. One good thing about it is that it holds my pH pretty constant when I use the CO2. I would remove the blue rocks...but my girlfriend wont let me (it is *our* fish tank).

The whole tank has been a work in progress. My girlfriend and I started in November. We started out with the blue rocks and the middle rock thing and 4 plastic plants. We then added the cave to the left for one of our fish. Next we pulled out the blue rocks and added the sand and then put the blue rocks back down. Then we put in some moneywort and water sprite. It wasn't growing all that much. We upgraded from a 30W light to a 96W light (in the last 3 weeks I have been using both lights together). Then we added some sword plants. Next, the branch looking thing on the right was added with some java moss attached to it. Add a little time and a lot of fiddling and this is where I am at. I dont plan on doing too much more since I will be moving soon enough. I am moving to Washignton D.C. in August and I might have an intermediary move from College Station, TX to Houston, TX before that.
