My 55 gallon Reef Tank
Equipt.-
Filtration: Fluval 405 with surface skimmer and turbo twist 9w UV sterilizer, CPR PRO 40 Refugum w/skimmer run by rio 800
via aqua 180 with spray bar, 2 via aqua 40s blowing water behind rock wall and a via aqua 60 as a cross flow to the fluval.
Lighting: retrofit dual 40wt Power compacts, 175 wt metal halide and 2 65w actinic power compacts 24 hour lighting system with built in LED moon light,and cooling fans.
Other: 200wt Titanium heater with external heat control and digital thermometer,pinpoint wireless thermometer(reads both tanks at top and bottom levels)pinpoint digital ph monitor,titanium aquarium ground probe.
80 lbs live rock from a ten year old system as well as 45lbs of live sand from same system
Added elements:Kent; coral accel, coral vite,Tech-I, Essential elements, Tech-CB buffer system,marine-c, maginesium, strotium, iron. Weiss;reef vital
DNA,blackpowder,marinefish vital, immunovital,coral vital, coral vita LSB and spectra-vital. Thera-P
Food:
fish; mysis, brine,algae(green,red,brown),speralina brine,ocean ,silversides, whole krill. enriched with Kent garlic-Xtreme, zoe marine , and silcon.
Corals; phytoplex,phytoplan, microvert, chromoplex,zooplex, Dt's live phytoplankton,Coral plankton, and marine snow.

Fish: Tomato clown, red firefish, yellow watchman goby, royal gramma, bangai cardinal, , Mandarin fish, scooter dragonet, flame angel, sixline wrasse, tail spot blenny, cleaner wrasse, 2 Black reidi seahorses, baby blue tang, baby purple tang(tangs get along and are being monitored in size and will be moved to existing 350 gallon when they get to big).

Inverts: cleaner shrimp,~8hermits,red forma star, 2 turbo snails, 8 margareta snails, electric flame scallop,6 Hawiian dusters, colored dusters, and blue finger sponge,thorny oyster, Christmas tree worms, yellow cucumber, 5" and 3"super grade corcea clam, orange lanka star, orange ear sponge, and 2 emerald crabs.

Corals:Green bulb anenome, galaxia coral, pulsing xenia, pompom xenia, var. mushrooms, Alviapora, orange sea fan, green star polyps, snake polyps, tree leather,red brain,moon coral, frogspawn, trumpet coral,toadstool(scarcophyton), encrusting gorgorian, carnation coral, button zoos, blue sea fan, and colored zoos and various other polyps.

25 gallon Predator tank
Emperor 400 bio wheel,100 wt heater, 20 lbs live sand, 28 lbs live rock.

Fish: snowflake moray, and black (colored) frog/Anglerfish.
Inverts:electric blue leg hermit, 2 red leg hermits, margareta snails.

1 gallon betta bowl
sunken garden look with half submerged house and one male betta.

I moved my 29gallon tank into the 55 and did it successfully without causing any fatalities, the animals are doing great and the corals look better than ever under the metal halide lamp. I am slowly adding new organisms as i hand pick them from the whole sale warehouse

Cool videos. I didn't know you could put seahorses in with other fish, I guess that's why you're close to your phd and I'm not. Love both of the tanks. The anglerfish is great!

lol thx you cant really add them to normal reefs and only the species i use can tolerate and actually thrive in the strong currents and higher temp.
