I live in the South East coast of MA......

I know a sweet spot where the water is crystal clear and there is a nice sandbar about a 1/4 mile away from the beach. The sand bar never hits there air an is no less than a foot under the surface at low tide.

could i wait to the water is at its warmest and use some of the beautiful sand from the sand bar? I just need to add another 1" or so to what i have.

as explained it is well off the shore and is further than the tide line, so no ownership can be claimed

I know some small temperature acclimation would be needed to keep it live..... That could be arranged if nesc

Well, any critters that come in with the sand are going to be temperate, so you will likely not get anything that lives for long. Still, it might be worth your while if you like the appearance of the sand.
