Movie Fish Tank

So I was watching the Hugh Grant movie "About A Boy" on the weekend, and naturally, took note of his aquarium.
The tank seemed to serve as a room divider between his kitchen and living room, which was interesting. Unfortunately, as in all movies, the tank didn't show any of the hardware like filter and heater and where it was located.
Also, in the first part of the movie when he was selfish, etc., he had nothing but bala sharks in the tank (little did the movie people know they aren't sharks at all but minnows) and then when he became caring and sensitive, he had a load of platies in there.
Personally, I don't find platies caring or sensitive, but that's just me.;)
I always wonder what happens to fish tanks that appear as parts of movie or TV sets when it's all over and who takes care of them during filming.
Maybe they made Hugh Grant siphon the poo out.:p

Yeah a lady a couple houses down from me has a big marine tank (like 150-200 gallons) that separates her dining room and living room. I've only seen it through her window but I've seen a couple Regal Tangs and a couple Percula Clownfish in it. It's pretty cool.

lol, j/k. But it is kinda hard to miss. Her house is right up against the sidewalk (I live near the beach, the houses are pretty close together and don't have any yards) and the tank is near a pretty big window.

Most houses in movies are "rented" out. There is a whole group
of people that rent out there houses as movie locations.
I would think that tanks would belong to the owner of the house and are cared for by them as well. Directors of the movies
may rent out fish that they want in the tank or use the original set up.

If anyone saw Anger Management (Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson) there's a really nice looking tank in Adam Sandler's boss's office. Saltwater I think, don't know what the first were, and either a blue or purple background with all white decorations (I doubt it's coral). Very bold. ;) The movie has really good too! lol
