PVC Pipe Glue?

When Glueing the PVC pipe togeather for the out flow from the sump is it safe to use any type of PVC Glue? or is there a special kind for fish tanks?

All the PVC glue at a home improvment store should be safe for potable water (and fish tanks) unless it states otherwise.

Thank you slipknottin, Thats what i thought but i just wanted to make sure befor i put it in my tank.

This stuff sets up real quick - so be prepared once you join the pipes together - you don't have a lot of working time.

I also would wait a day before pressuring the pipes by running water threw them

I used the 'Oatey' brand of primer and cement from Home Depot, waited a day or so, hooked it all up...no problems at all.
