:help: Hi guys, maybe you can help me out here. I have a 10 ga tank for 1 male betta and 2 females. I bought a Rena filter yesterday, treats up to 20 gallons. Was working fine all day, but this morning when I got up 1/2 the tank water was on the floor!!! Thank God everyone is ok, but what happened? Should I just shut the dang thing off at night in case it happens again?
:help:

Are you sure it's the filter, not a crack in the tank or some other problem? If it is definitely the filter, I'd return it and get something else. You certainly shouldn't have to turn the filter off to keep it from pouring water out on the floor.
Check the tank out VERY well, and then return the filter for some other kind if that's the problem.
Good luck!!

Triple check all of your hose connections, all of your seals. Triple check to make sure you have set everything up correctly.

One thing I want to say though is that keeping two female bettas in a ten gallon is kind of a slight risk in and of itself...but with a male betta, well...I think that's kind of playing a little too risky.

???? Ive had them for about 8 months now in the same tank Ive never had problems?? But anyway I did check the seals noticed the top wasnt on tight I guess so far so good!!!
