AquaC remora question

I got a Aqua C remora skimmer. Installed it two day ago and appears to be running fine. However runs pretty loud and nothing in the collection cup. (i have the collection cup sitting on the lowest setting.) How long is the break in period? And will it ever become silent?

it usualy takes a few days
ive had mine running for some time and it is never scilent, but it isnt super loud

I am not familar with the remora, if it has an air setting, too much air can create extra noise. It will take a few days for the skimmate to form and bubble. I think mine took almost a week.

I've had the remora pro with a mag3 pump. Break in period for me was about 10 days before the microbubbles quit. Once it was broke in, it pulls in nice dark skim. Its really gross sometimes to empty the cup. One note, I have the mag 3 sitting behind the rockwork on the bottom of my tank. Attach a line up to the skimmer and back up toward the surface if you wish. Maybe that would help with the noise. I don't think its overly loud though.

what size of pump did you get with this remora? I've got the remora and the pump that came with it burned up and I went with a mag 3 which is just great for my 75. I think it took about a good month before my remora really took off. I have had mine for over 3 yrs now and my skimmer puts out quite a lot so just give it some time.

Skimmer has a Maxijet 900. Its actually working now! Doesnt sound as loud as it used to either. Maybe im used to it. Thanks for the input guys.
