Hi i have currently got a small 25 gallon tank with 1 clarks anemone clown with 1 blue tang 2 hermit crabs and 2 cowrie snails. I have 50 watt of lights for my anemone (I know what your thinking 50 watts for an anemone thats low thats why im moving tanks so small with no easy access.)
I already have for my 75 gallon a filter and a heater all test kits a hydrometer and a big 180 jebo protein skimmer.
I know i need salt to mix with and i know i need better lights (what kind of lights) is there anything else staying very very cheap i mean like $250 Australian. Im so exeited though i am going to the great barrier reef. :OT: THANKS KANO5003

As far as lighting MH would be best but is not cheap. T-5 or VHO would be my second and third choice, in that order, but none of the above are cheap. MH would be the most expencive and VHO the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I am sorry I can't help more but I do not know the $$$$$ conversion from American to Australian money. I would definatly save up and do as much DIY on the lighting as you can since you really need good lights.

:) Yes i rang my local fish store they always have t-5 lighting that is just abit better than fluro isnt it he said he will do it for AU $180 which is really good i think is t-5 good lighting plus i will have 2 other fluro lights on the tank as well thanks.:)

Well..$250 Aust converts to about $196 US or £100 Uk...

Going by lighting prices here, i would suggest MH is out of the question for that kind of budget..With that money to spend, i would be going down the lines of a T5 setup, 4 or more tubes...Depending on the length of the tank, i just been looking over eBay Australia and you can buy 4 or 8 tube T5's for about $150 Aust dollars....which is quite a good price really...or something along the lines of...

That is just an example....dont go out any buy it...but, just shows you that you can get a good light for your money off ebay....

Yes i am getting a t5 unit its got 2 tubes 58 watt each 1 blue one white tube. It is going to cost AU $180.00 thats pretty good for that light unit.

Is this good for 1 anemone and 2 very small corals they dont need to much light but ill have heaps of lights o0ver the 4 foot tank thanks.

I can't stress this enough DON"T BUY JEBO JUNK!!!!!!!!!!! Their equipment is manufactured without regard to quality control and is not UL listed. May not matter where you are but in the states it means that it would not pass safty standards and will not be covered buy your insurance company. By all means watch e-bay as you will certinly find a deal but say away from jebo/ODESEA they are the same exact things.

Ok im not planning to go with jebos t5 lights the brand on the reflector its self is reef octupus and the tubes (globes) are aqua force thanks and are these good brands.

Yes you live in calafona. Reef octupus is an Australian brand and aqua force is an American brand thanks ill try google them...
