I've set up my first tank in years. After working in an Aquarium for 7 years, the maintenence side of things got too much when I got home. After cleaning 128 fish tanks all day, the last thing I wanted to do when I got home was clean more fish tanks.
But enough water has passed under the bridge now and I have started again.
My 120cm x 45cm x 30cm tank has the following occupants.
1 13" tire track eel
2 Jack Dempseys
2 Firemouths
3 Ancistrus
5 Sucking Loach (2 gold, 3 normal)
5 Tiger Barbs
1 Black Ruby Barb
Could anybody help me with sexing my Jack Dempseys? There is a pic attatched for you to see.
Another problem I am having is a lot of muck gathers on my cabomba. I have tried positioning the flow of the outlet pipe so the waste doesn't stick to the plant, but every morning when I turn the light on it has a brown coating.
I use a Fluval 305 pump and do 15% water changes every Sunday, religiously!
They have a diet of earthworms, mysis, bloodworm, cabbage, lettuce, muscles, heart of cow and pig and cichlid food.
Any help from that side of the pond would be appreciated, shoulder to shoulder n'all.
