This is rather scary since our food supply largely depends on Bees to pollenize crops.

my god..one thing after the other....tainted peanut butter...bee flu..girls drinking pickle juice to get rid of hiccups..
i should build a bomb shelter and never come out..

Not good for farmers. Nor the food industries that rely on honey....
I'm sure my home state- with Michigan State Univ. has it's hands in the research. They're one of the major agricultural universities in the country...
Wonder what's causing it. Could be something like the deformed frogs in Minnesota, that it's actually caused by a parasite and that's why the hive isn't taken over by a rival colony immediately....

Yeah, right now. I had two last year, but the second was a weak hive and got taken out by waxworms :( I'm hoping to set up a second again once it gets warmer. I need the honey for my mead! :D
