I have two jacks, two firemouths and dome 'stocking filler' barbs and bottomfeeders. I quite like the look of Salvinis, but they aren't overtly common here in England, so I was wondering if anyone with xp in these fish could confirm that they are ok in my tank

If you can deal with the aggression, your onto a winner.

BTW, they're quite readily available in London. See them all the time in the aquatic design centre: http://www.aquaticdesign.co.uk/

Great article. I think I'll go for them, but only when I have a bigger tank.

Cheers dudes

I've kept and bred them. They definitely need space and breeding pairs should be alone. Regardless of their aggression, they are well worth keeping. They're one of my top all time favorites. Love 'em.

Too right! My tank is very nicely balanced as it is. I am no longer a 'just one more fish' type of person!

My Salvini's and my Jack get along fine. You may run into trouble with the Firemouths. Firemouths tend to be a bit on the timid side unless breeding. This is my small Salvini. Check out the teeth!

You put something like that in with your FM's and you might not like the results.

Thats a pretty mean looking s.o.b! I think your right about the firemouths. I just don't know what to do!!!! Even if I get a bigger tank, my landlord won't let me keep it anywhere!
