I have a male German Ram that is looking sick. He just sits on top of the filter intake sponge, and looks like he is breathing pretty hard. He has a somewhat bloated belly. His scale look good, so I don;t think it is droppsy. He doesn't eat, and my water conditions are perfect.

ammonia= 0 ppm
Nitrite = 5 ppm
Nitrate = 0 ppm

I think it is some kind of internal parisite, and I was wanting to know what is the best medication for it. Thanks

with nitrite at 5 ppm..you should consider a water change..especially with blue rams..they are fairly sensitive to water condtions.

btw..5 ppm nitrites is not perfect water conditions and could be one reason the blue ram is breathing heavily.

That is my fault. I got nitrates and nitrites mixed around
