Help me out. I've heard of and used the underwater, 2 part epoxy, and rubber bands but now have a newly fragged (fragged on its own) zenia to figure out. It fragged this morning and I fumbled with an elastic (ok now stop laughing) and a small LR cast off but that didn't work out. Stored the frag in a plastic container with tank water for now (**** job!) but when I get home I am going to have to do something. There have been numerous references on AC about super glue? Please explain.

Yes, the gel super glue is what has been used in the past...

we use this to frag anchor all of our frags.. its pretty good..

TIP: apply a nice base glob and hold the frag on it.. and sink it into the old tank water to help it cure faster ( takes less than a minute to harden) .. then dump the water and toss the frag into your tank

It works best if you use a paper towel to dry the LR and the glueing surface of the frag just a bit.

So like the "Crazy Glue" kind but in gel format?

Might be a bit late for this reply- but you've got bugger all chance of using superglue to stick xenia frags down- the coral slimes too much. With soft corals you're pretty much limited to using elastic bands, plastic spikes, fine netting (e.g. bridal veil) or a low flow area and some coral rubble (an old floating breeder box + rubble works well for morphs).

Cheers,

Daniel

Yeah, kinda figured that. Found a suitable hole in my rock and planted the clump there. A couple of straglers ended up in the sand and they seem to rooted there. We shall see what happens next.
