im new to the plant thing, right now i have a bannana plant and one jungle val, and im looking for something that wont need alot of extra attention besides good water quality. i like the jungle val, but i find that sometimes it gets a little brown. im looking for plants for my community tank( platies, mollys, zebra danios, couple of cats, a dwarf gourami, and a beta. also, i would like to find something for my oscar tank. something that big oscars wouldnt trash.

Try some Anubias Nana... The Oscars may leave that alone too - from what I've read about this plant, most fish do not eat it. The plant does well in low light. You should tie it to a pot or driftwood or rock. They seem real hardy and easy care plants. They are slow growers.
