I tried building models a few times, but I would usually lose patience and end up making some stupid mistake. lol

They look very nice. I use to build models before I had my kids and pets. Don't take this the wrong way cause they look great, but if you ever want the "been in battel" look take you knife and add a few nics and dig the point of the knife in to make bullett marks not holes just like little dents. Makes 'em look more authentic if you like the battel look. Also do this befor paint as the military repaints after damage.

Good work! I used to build a lot of models. I might get back into it. It would give me something to do while watching tanks drain and fill.
I'll see if I can dig up some pix.

Looks good, Daayda!
Might try airbrushing the paint on-if you can swing the cost of the brush. Lots better finish!

I like them! Not too many ladies in the fine scale modeling hobby these days. Glad you're trying it out.
Have you tried these guys?
http://www.hyperscale.com/
There's a guy named Phil "Bondo" Brandt who has done some incredible scratchbuilt stuff.
I'll say that your accomplishments are far better than any model I've ever built.:bowing: :bowing:

Wow, that takes me back. I grew up crafting many models, since my dad was a test and fighter pilot. The horse models (equine) were not a challenge at all, so I picked up jets. Then old single-engines. Biplanes are pretty challenging. Hmm, then some cars. Good work, girl, just keep it up!! You'll only get better.
Advice as an artist on photos---keep all that crap out of there, fit the model on a large clean backdrop that fits completely. If you want to show scale, use a ruler.

Are they all 1/72 scale?
I second the photo backgroud tip. You could maybe get a piece of light gray posterboard and draw lines on it to simulate a concrete runway. Though the lava lamp and the green parachutes are funny. Your models are way better than the ones I did when I was 12!
I read that you usually want to go light with damage on a model, unless you're doing a crashed plane. Though there are some exceptions ( like those B-17's that managed to get back with 1/3 of the plane gone ) most of the time anything really dramatic would down a plane, and bullet holes in scale are really small.

Those are really nice! My Hubby builds planes too, but he builds and flies the remote control kind. Big ones. I could never do that, I'm usually too jacked up on coffee to have the steady hand I need for it. lol
