I wonder if anyone has any suggestions...i want some colorful, fancy looking fish to keep in my fw 20 gal.

it's almost done cycling and i have added a snail and two small tetras.

any suggestions would be very grateful

i heard they are being threatened by over-fishing.

yeah... I wouldn't reccomend buying them unless you want to breed them.

i'd get 4-5 more of the kind of tetra you have, a dwarf gouramis, and a BN pleco.

what kind of tetra do you have?

um i dont really know...i recall...something about "fire" or "flame" being in their title. my camera isnt working so here's the description i can give you.. silver with a few thick verticle stripes on the first half of the body and red fins with black tips....if that helps

I would say that they are Flame Tetras or Von Rio Tetras (Hyphessobrycon flammeus), which would be described by the silver body on the first half, a few vertical black stripes, and red on the fins of the fishs

At the start, I was thinking that it was a Black Phantom Tetra (Megalamphodus megalopterus) but it wouldn't fit with the same being fire or flame.

Hope this is your fish :)
