first what is the best way to move it is about 7"
also do you think that it could have snail eggs on its skin being that they are not that active i have seen the oto sucking on the pleco a little so could the pond snails have layed eggs too
don't want to introduce snails to new tank

so what do you think?

I have a 13" pleco. I had to move the tank. I took a 5 gallon bucket, filled it 3/4 way with tank water, then scooped him up with a big fish net and put him in the bucket.

then, carried the bucket over to the new tank location. I put an air stone in there because it was going to take me a few hours to do. I took some of the water from the new tank and put it in the bucket every 5 minutes or so for about 1/2 hour then scooped him up and ploped him in the tank.

Didn't seem to affect him at all. Hes happy and sucking on the glass of the new tank.

i think i might give him up to the local aquarium so he has a large tank
don't want to over crowd the 55gal and if i trade him to the LFS some douche might put him in a tank too small and i will just rely on smaller algae eaters

I drain down and corner them in an appropriate sized container.

think i wil give em to the local aquarium they put em in big tanks
