My new tank is coming with a pair of Magnum canister filters. Any reason not to use these as return pumps from my wet/dry?

Would make doing chemical filtration easy if needed.

I will need to check the flow rates of course.

Ithink if you are going to use the canisters I would be a waste of money to make a sump for it. The canister will also not push out to much flow even though there are two of them as a pump would.(depending on what pump you get of course. If you need to use chemical filtration then you can always put the canister intake and exghaust into the sump

They flow at 350gph. I've used them for water changes, and they'll fill a 5gal bucket in nothing flat.
