I am setting up my new 90G with a wet/dry filter. MY thought was it might be a good idea to include a UV sterilizer in the return flow.

I don;t plan on running it all the time, just when I think I might have a problem.

I was looking at a TurboTwist 12x.

Should I include it inline with the return or provide a vavled bypass for it?

If you have the money, why not. I would if the money was there. I also plan on doing the same thing.

You should bypass it or attach hoses long enough to just swap it in/out with the return line when you need to. When not in use, it will still get dirty and a dirty bulb sleeve isn't effective.

bypass it

Thanks, I just ordered one today. Great deal recommended by another member. I will setup a bypass scenario, with a quick disconnect.

I run my UV full time, nobody has ever given me a sound reason not to.
I run a Coralife 9watt 3x Turbotwist on my 75gal.
