In 2002 Surrey (a suburb city part of Greater Vancouver) made it's second artificial lake, creatively named "Surrey Lake." My friends adopted a neglected bull dog from the pound yesterday so we all went for a walk.
Being an aquarist I immediately starting wondering such things as pH, temperature, depth, volume, and fish species. Turns out, it has cutthroat trout, chum salmon, coho salmon and steelhead trout! It apparently connected to natural streams.
Man, if I was rich, I'd so make my own lake.
We've had a freaky winter. This is a pic I took today of the lake.
