In 2002 Surrey (a suburb city part of Greater Vancouver) made it's second artificial lake, creatively named "Surrey Lake." My friends adopted a neglected bull dog from the pound yesterday so we all went for a walk.

Being an aquarist I immediately starting wondering such things as pH, temperature, depth, volume, and fish species. Turns out, it has cutthroat trout, chum salmon, coho salmon and steelhead trout! It apparently connected to natural streams.

Man, if I was rich, I'd so make my own lake.

We've had a freaky winter. This is a pic I took today of the lake.

Don't you mean, my friend and his wife. :)

I am pretty sure those are two girls. Canada has allowed civil unions for almost 2 years now nation wide and many provinces allowed them before that. USA only has four states that allow some sort of civil union.
So I am pretty sure my friend and her wife was correct.

Very nice pictures. That looks like a small lake maybe it was just the pictures that you took. Its hard to belive any one would abuse that dog it looks so sweet. Your not the only ones with a weird winter. It has been the oddest one I can recall here in New England.

three cheers for Canada.

and cute dog.

That's correct. We allow full marriages now. :)

Thanks! Yeah it's more like a pond than a lake. That picture represented about 1/3 of it all. It's still a little muddy but I'm sure in a few decades it will really start to clear up and become more natural.

Doing such things to an animal is unfathomable to me. That photo is going on the pound's website to go with a happy success story of a neglected street dog who found a loving home. :thm:

Where in Surrey is that? I work in Surrey, but I never go anywhere other than where I work.

edit: I suppose if I had looked at the link I wouldnt have asked something so silly.
