OK so my nano is comeing along fairly nice. I have two problems both with the water colum. First off I have little bits of food/stuff from LR/ whatever it is floating and can not get rid of it. I can't use sponges, see next problem.

Second is micro bubbles. I can't use sponges because they slow the flow too much and I downgraded from a rio 2500+ to a CA 1800. (Well it's an upgrade in quality just less flow). I have the ball valve to the fuge wide open but still have bubbles. If I down grade the pump again I am afraid that I will lose too much flow in the display.

Any one know of a good pump for me to use or have any suggestions for a small Diatom filter that I could run intermitantly to clear the floaties???

All help is appriciated,

Joe

you could use a sponge or filter floss to just get rid of the dirt and then remove it after your satisfied with the results. what do you have filtration wise?
i cant really recommend anything unless i know ur full equipment but im happy to help ive set up well over 30 tanks so i should be able to help

I have a sump/refuge. The only mechanical filter I am running is my skimmer (seaclone 100 with a mod) I have hooked an aquaclear 30 into the fuge but it doesn't seem to be working very well.

The tank is a 10 gal with a 10 gal sump.

sorry was in the middle of my last post. I think they are comeing from the skimmer chamber but my baffels are 1 inch spaced from side to side and the center is 1 inch from the bottom.

A limewodd difuser in the chamber??? Just want to make sure I know what you're suggesting.

OK Glad I asked cause I was WAY off base. I will see what I can come up with. That is a different skimmer than I have so I may have to rig something my self.

*as I but on my camo hat to help the hillbilly inginuity flow*
