Anyone heard of these? Saw a few at my LFS, they look like Blue Rams only shaped like baloon mollys.

yes..they are believed to be hybridized Rams.
I don't understand why anyone would want to do this as the ram is a spectacular dwarf.
but the ballon rams are cute lil buggers.

If you would spell it correctly Balloon rams and put it into the search engine here you'd find more.

I saw some of these at the LFS. Does anyone know why they seem to have internal bumps in their heads. You can see bumps inside through their skin.

I haven't ever seen any with bumps, but when you overbreed and inbreed a fish to isolate a genetic defect who the heck knows what will show up next!

I have never seen a balloon belly ram, but I have what they call angelrams, which look nothing like balloon belly mollies, but rather a similar color to rams, but a different body shape and finage... which are you refering too?

Angel rams are rams with long fins... they are fine and aren't genetically inferior, ie, the characteristic they were bred for - the long fins - doesn't effect the health and fecundity of the fish. In the case of balloon rams, they have been bred with swim bladder defects. Some of these fish are sterile, some aren't. Some seem to be healthy, some bob around in the water like corks. They have fat round bodies, like the balloon molly.
