Can you keep more than one in a tank?

I read somewhere that you should have 3 or more shrimp together, but on Dr.s Foster and Smith website it says you can only have 1 in a tank?

Anybody keep these banded coral shrimp I think they are called (red and white banded). I don't know anything about SW tanks but my brother just set up his first SW tank and bought two of them and they seem to fight alot and I am not sure if he should get more than two or get rid of one?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Barb

yeah, not a good idea unless they are a mated pair. mine is very territorial.
also, what type of shrimp did it suggest putting 3 to a tank? i can see something like cleaner shrimp which are hermaphrodidic, but not something aggressive like a CBS.

Thanks for the help. I guess they didn't realize that 2 wouldn't work and their LFS didn't say anything when they bought them together. They are giving one to their friend who has a sw tank. I know they research every fish they buy but I guess it didn't seem like 2 shrimp would be a problem. Guess any creature big or small can have an attitude huh? lol
