Have a 55gal mix of malawi just noticed a few baby fish swimming around how can i spot a pregnant fish?

Most african cichlids are mouthbrooders. Eggs and developing fry are maintained in the mother's mouth for a number of weeks (identifying a mouthbrooding female is fairly evident):

Additionally, the mother may become reclusive and/or extra aggressive, and decline food during the majority of that period.
